Hart Local Plan 2044 Engagement Strategy - Appendix 3: Proposed Local Plan Content and Evidence

Purpose

The purpose of this consultation is to seek views on: 

  • a proposed vision for the District
  • proposed measurable outcomes (i.e. how will we know if the Local Plan is delivering the vision)
  • proposed aims and objectives, including how it is proposed to achieve the vision  
  • a summary of the Council’s proposed approach in relation to planning policies (which may include proposed site allocation policies)
  • a summary of the evidence intended to support the Local Plan
  • any further supporting information considered appropriate.

Regulatory requirements for the Council to observe

  • anyone may comment during a statutory minimum six-week consultation period. 
  • make a notice of plan content and evidence available.
  • consult such of the specific and general consultees considered appropriate.
  • consult residents or other persons carrying on business in the district considered appropriate.
  • consult anyone who has requested to be notified at this stage. 
  • for SEA/HRA, consultation will include Natural England, Historic England and Environment Agency together with other appropriate key stakeholders
  • publish a summary of responses and how regard has been had to these.

How will comments be used?

Along with further development of the technical evidence base, comments received at this stage will be used to help inform the next version of the Local Plan (see Appendix 4).
