Hart Local Plan 2044 Engagement Strategy - How will we provide feedback?

To provide feedback to stakeholders on how consultation responses have been used in preparing the Local Plan we will:

  • publish a Summary of Consultation Statement on our website after each of the three consultation stages, setting out:
    • details of who was invited to make representations,
    • how they were invited to make representations,
    • a summary of the main issues raised in the representations
    • how we have had regard to the representations received in preparing the Local Plan.
  • provide updates on the Local Plan through social media, online press releases, Hart News and the online residents’ newsletter
  • provide feedback and updates at relevant stakeholder meetings.

Statements of Common Ground

Statements of Common Ground are documents that local planning authorities are required to produce to document cooperation that has taken place and agreement reached on key cross-boundary and other strategic matters with neighbouring local authorities and some other key stakeholders, such as infrastructure providers. These Statements will be prepared and published at relevant stages with key specific consultees and other organisations where appropriate, for example where matters or sites are critical to the delivery of the Local Plan.

Statements of Common Ground will provide a public record of ongoing discussions and identify where matters have been agreed or where further work may be needed to reach agreement.
