Hart Local Plan 2044 Engagement Strategy - Appendix 4: Consultation on Proposed Local Plan

Purpose

To seek views on the Local Plan documents that the Council proposes to submit for examination, including (but not limited to):   

• the proposed Local Plan
• the map of proposed Local Plan policies and allocations
• details of the evidence gathered to support the proposed Local Plan 
• details relating to the scoping consultation and consultation on proposed Local Plan content and evidence, including a summary of the main issues raised by respondents and how those main issues have been addressed in the proposed Local Plan

Regulatory requirements for the Council to observe

• anyone may make comments within a statutory minimum 8-week consultation period
• consult such of the specific and general consultees considered appropriate
• consult residents or other persons carrying on business in the district considered appropriate
• consult anyone who has requested to be notified at this stage
• publish a summary of responses

How will comments be used?

Comments will be used to make any final changes to the Plan before submitting it to the Secretary of State for independent Examination.
