Anti-social Behaviour Policy 2025-2028 - ASB case reviews

The Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 sets out the requirements for us to carry out ASB case reviews, when requested.

The ASB case review is a process which allows the Community Safety Partnership to review their response to complaints of ASB. The review should only be used if no action has been taken as a result of repeat reporting. The review can only be used in relation to ASB.

To qualify for the ASB case review, the following criteria must be met:

  • there have been at least three incidences within a six-month period or one of a hate-related nature

  • the ASB must have been reported within one month of the alleged behaviour taking place

  • the application to use the ASB case review is made within six months of the first report of ASB.

If the ASB case review threshold has been met, agencies will share information, review what action has been taken before and decide if additional actions are possible.

An ASB case review can be activated by contacting any of the involved agencies for implementation through the Police on the 101 telephone line, when a call taker will complete an ASB7 Form and then notify Hart District Council that an ASB case review has been requested.
