This policy sets out our view of what Anti-social Behaviour (ASB) is, what our service standards are and what we want our services to achieve for victims and witnesses of ASB. In particular, the aims of this policy set out how the Community Safety Team will deal with ASB by:
Taking effective action to deal with severe and/or persistent ASB
Encouraging residents to report ASB by promoting a victim-focused service
Set realistic expectations in relation to how the Community Safety Team can deal with ASB and what types of ASB the team will deal with
Provide support and advice to victims of ASB including identification of any safeguarding needs
Ensure a partnership approach is taken to tackle ASB
This process is designed to be flexible and proportionate, to enable officers to manage cases in an appropriate way, reflecting the needs of those involved while protecting witnesses and finding a suitable resolution.
