Gateway 1 Self-Assessment Summary Local Plan timetable

The timetable for preparing the new Hart Local Plan was first published on 29 April 2026.  It shows when we expect to carry out the different stages and activities for preparing a plan. We’ll keep this updated as we make more progress.

We anticipate adoption by 31 October 2028, within 25 months from the publication of this Gateway 1 Self-Assessment Summary. This target is even more ambitious than the Government’s 30-month timetable. We are keen to adopt a new Local Plan as quickly as possible.
