TRAINING: advanced dummy service page 27 4 23

This is an example of a service page

Example of Heading 2

Rural affordable housing is mainly for people who want to stay in rural parishes where they grew up or have family. To apply for a home under the scheme, you’ll need to be on our housing register.

Homes are provided through small developments in villages with a population of 3,000 or less.

A local housing needs survey tells us how many properties need to be built and how big each property will be.

Example of Heading 3

You're most likely to get one of these homes if you have a strong local connection to where the homes are being built.

A few rural places in Hart have affordable homes to buy under shared ownership. Until recently, these homes were advertised via the Help to Buy Agent 3 website, but from 1 April 2023 there will be a change to the Help to Buy Agent service. You'll be able to use a dedicated section of the GOV.UK website to:

  • check if you're eligible to buy a home through shared ownership
  • find an organisation that sells homes in the area you want to buy

We'll update this page with a link to the GOV.UK site when it becomes available. You can also check for updates on the:

Example of Heading 4

We work with parishes and developers to deliver new homes in rural communities where they are most needed.

We can help with:

  • gaining evidence of housing need in your local area
  • looking at options of delivery for new homes
  • supporting and guiding through the planning process
  • advising and signposting on funding that may be available

Accordians are a type of Component. They 'hide' content behind a shallow box and a heading that describes the contents.

We use them very sparingly, but you might occasionally need to edit something in an accordian.
