Food hygiene training

By law, if you operate a food business, you must ensure that anyone who handles food receives appropriate supervision and training in food hygiene. Training must match their area of work  and enable them to handle food in the safest way. 

It is highly recommended that food handlers hold a food hygiene certificate to prepare or sell food (although this is not a legal requirement in the UK). For further information on hygiene courses, please go to:
