Report a stray dog
Please call 03444 828320 if you find a stray dog.
We will arrange for the stray to be collected. This service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Please contact the police on 101 if you see a dog running loose on a road.
What happens after we collect a stray dog?
Staff at a kennel unit will care for collected stray dogs for seven days. Unclaimed dogs will be re-homed.
It is not our policy to have unclaimed dogs put to sleep. Unclaimed dogs are only ever put to sleep if:
- they display unacceptably aggressive behaviour
- upon veterinary advice, or
- they are not suitable for re-homing
