How's the Council tackling climate change?

We have a Climate Change Action Plan for 2025 to 2029

In response to the climate emergency declared in Hart in April 2021, we have created a climate action plan, outlining key strategies and initiatives for 2025 – 2029. This five-year plan aims to drive change and mitigate the impacts of climate change across Hart, enabling us to meet our ambitions of being a carbon-neutral authority by 2035 and district by 2040.

We've installed electric charge points and LED lighting in our car parks and our waste collection vehicles are powered by vegetable oil

We are supporting everyone in Hart to become a carbon-neutral district by 2040

The Council collects data to help it better understand how to cut its carbon footprint which it shares with residents and stakeholders
