Solar panels were installed at the Civic Centre in Fleet in early 2022. They should generate as much as 57,000kWh of electricity a year, enough to power 20 average homes each year.

They’ll save 11.5 tonnes of CO2 per year. That’s enough to to fill over 11 hot air balloons with greenhouse gases.

More solar panels were added to Hart Leisure Centre in January 2025. These panels will save around 32 tonnes of CO2 per year and generate a financial saving of approximately £44,932 per annum.
