Consulting with residents and improving systems to collect data about carbon emissions and energy use
The Council is collecting information to help it better understand what it needs to do to cut its carbon footprint.
For example, gathering data on the amount of fuel saved by using electric tools and machinery in country parks will help it understand what type of equipment to buy in future.
Teamwork and communication with parish and town councils, local groups and other stakeholders is a priority in this part of the action plan.
Stakeholder Engagement Group
Our first Stakeholder Engagement Group met in September 2023 and again in January 2024, with plans to continue quarterly meetings. The group includes representatives from parish and town councils and environmental groups.
