TRAINING: Formatting text, links and tables

Links

Some text appears as clickable underlined text. These are hyperlinks to:

  • other parts of the website
  • documents, such as PDFs
  • external web pages

TIP: internal links may display as nodes (e.g. /node/862) when you view them in edit mode

Emails and phone numbers

You will also see emails and phone numbers as blue underlined text across the Hart District Council website. These links make it easy for people who use a phone to access the site to email or call a number without having to key in letters, numbers and symbols.

Buttons

Links may also appear in the Body text as green buttons

These are the same as normal links, such as URLs and links to other pages, but they highlight certain things we think should stand out on the page.

You’ll only be able to see the green button after you save and view the published page. It doesn’t show in the editing view.

To turn an ordinary link into a green button, select the link with your cursor and use the Styles menu to choose the Button green option.
