Residents' parking permits

Information on how to apply to Hampshire County Council for residents and visitor parking permits in Hart

The scheme is now run by Hampshire County Council.

It will continue to be operated over the same times and days for those properties which are currently eligible for residents’ parking permits.

All permits will be valid for 12 months from the date of issue and will cost £50 for the first permit and £75 for the second permit if eligible.

Any existing paper resident and/or visitor permits issued by Hart District Council will remain valid until their expiry date or until 31 March 2024 for visitor permits. You should not destroy any existing valid permits until after they expire and continue to display these in your vehicle.

Hampshire County Council has introduced a digital parking permit system, operated by MiPermit, to replace the existing paper-based permits.

What you need to do before your existing permits expire

For more information, and to register for an online MiPermit account, visit www.hants.gov.uk/transport/parking.

Any resident without internet access can contact MiPermit by telephone on 0345 520 7007. Current permit holders will need to register with MiPermit before their existing paper permits expire.

Residents with other queries relating to a residents’ parking scheme can contact Hampshire County Council at parking.services@hants.gov.uk.

Blue Badge holders

Blue badge holders do not need to buy a permit if a valid disabled blue badge is correctly displayed within the vehicle. Vehicles can also park in any residential parking zone, with no time restriction, as long as a Blue Badge is correctly displayed.
