Proclamation of the new Sovereign

Residents are warmly invited to join our Council Chairman Councillor Worlock when she reads the Proclamation of our new Sovereign, His Majesty King Charles. The Air Vice-Marshall (Retd) Paul Luker CB OBE AFC DL will be in attendance on behalf of HM Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire. The Proclamation will take place on Sunday 11 September at 2pm at The Memorial in Gurkha Square, Fleet. 

Book of Condolence

A Book of Condolence for HM The Queen has been opened in the Council offices in Fleet for residents to leave messages to the Royal Family. The office is open between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Thursday, with an earlier close of 4.30pm on Friday. There's an online option available on the Buckingham Palace website at www.royal.uk/

Floral tributes 

The Memorial at Gurkha Square is the focal point for floral tributes. The flowers will remain in place until after the Queen's funeral, when they will be taken away to be composted.
