Chairman of the Council, Cllr Jane Worlock, said:
"On behalf of Hart District Council and the residents of Hart District, I express our deep sadness at the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
Our sincere condolences go to the Royal Family as it mourns its profound loss. The Queen’s devoted and selfless service to the British people, and to the Citizens of the Commonwealth, so humbly offered, enshrines her as the greatest sovereign in our nation's history."
At the Council Offices in Fleet, the flag has been lowered to half-mast.
