Thermal images

We've been running a scheme that give residents access to thermal images of their homes

Scheme runs in partnership with Hart Voluntary Action

Thermal images can help you spot where heat is escaping from your home. Often you can fix this by improving insulation at that place. In many cases these are simple fixes, such as adding a letterbox guard or a foil radiator reflector, but they could reduce the amount of heat that is lost, your heating bills and your carbon footprint.

Register your interest to have a Thermal Imaging Survey

After you sign up, two volunteers will visit your property with a thermal imaging camera. They’ll survey your property and the results will be sent to you. You will also be asked to complete a feedback survey on completion.

Feedback from residents on the scheme has been positive, with one resident saying it was “a well-managed volunteer service, most timely in the current economic situation”. Read the experience of one Yateley resident

In order to carry out the surveys we rely on volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for the thermal imaging scheme, please email climatechange@hart.gov.uk
