Yateley West ward councillor Mark Vernon has resigned with immediate effect.
A by-election to fill the vacancy will be held if two registered electors from the District of Hart give notice in writing requesting such an election to the Proper Officer. These can be sent by email to chiefexecutive@hart.gov.uk or by post to Hart District Council, Civic Offices, Harlington Way, Fleet, Hampshire, GU51 4AE.
Once the requests from the electors are received, the Returning Officer will call for the by-election to be held within 35 days.
