It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Councillor Sharyn Wheale.
Councillor Wheale was a long-serving councillor, representing Fleet East for almost 32 years.
She was elected Chairman of the Council twice – in 2009/10 and 2019/20. .
Councillor Simon Ambler, Chairman of Hart District Council, said: “We are deeply saddened by the news; Sharyn will be sorely missed. She was a great friend to many and served her community tirelessly for three decades. Our thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.”
Hart councillors will pay a tribute to Councillor Wheale at the Council meeting on Thursday 28 April.
