Council Tax Energy Rebate

Eligible residents who have not yet been paid their £150 Energy Rebate have been sent letters this week (w/c 16 May) with details on how to apply.

The letters are to people who do not pay their Council Tax by direct debit or whose details need updating.

The £150 payment is non-repayable and applies to all households in Council Tax Bands A-D.

Please visit our Council Tax page for more information, including links to the Energy Rebate application form.

Applications will close on 13 June.

For residents who do not apply by the June deadline, the £150 will instead be paid into their Council Tax account as a credit. A revised Council Tax bill will then be sent, confirming the payment.

The easiest way to pay your Council Tax is by direct debit (DD) and you can choose to pay on either the 1st or 15th of each month. Please visit our ways to pay page for more details. Please note, you will still need to apply for your Energy Rebate if you register for direct debit now as there was a cut-off period of April for payment via DD.
