Council announces energy funding scheme

Man installing insulation in loft

Hart District Council has launched a new scheme to help residents across Hart access funding to improve the energy efficiency of their home.

ECO4 Flex focuses on supporting low-income and vulnerable fuel-poor households through installation of insulation and heating measures for households with a current EPC rating of E ,F or G.

Alongside this, it offers those living with certain medical conditions the chance to apply through GP referral. Residents with a household income less than £31,000, may also be eligible.

The managing agent for this scheme, InstaGroup, have over 20 years of experience in helping people insulate their homes. They are well placed to guide residents through the process of accessing funding.

Councillor Richard Quarterman, Portfolio Holder for Climate Change and Corporate Services said “We’re delighted to announce the ECO4 Flex scheme. We hope that residents will check if they are eligible and take full advantage of funding on offer.

“As well as helping them stay warmer in the winter, the energy adaptions available should help reduce their carbon emissions and energy bills.”
