Looking for an alternative to traditional face-to-face support groups?

Walk and Talk combines mental health support with the benefits of spending time outdoors. Instead of meeting in a room, sessions take place in a natural environment in Fleet, where conversations can flow more naturally whilst walking.

Sessions are delivered in a small, supportive group setting, giving participants the opportunity to connect with others who may be experiencing similar challenges. There will also be opportunities for one-to-one conversations with a qualified counsellor during the walk when needed.

The walks loosely follows a mindful sensory approach, encouraging participants to engage with the sights, sounds and surroundings of the natural environment. Many people find that being outdoors helps them feel more relaxed, while the gentle pace of walking can make it easier to talk about difficult thoughts and feelings.

Is Walk and Talk right for me?

This approach may be suitable if you:

  • Feel uncomfortable with traditional face-to-face support.
  • Find it easier to talk whilst walking.
  • Would benefit from spending time outdoors.
  • Are looking for a supportive and relaxed environment.

Walk and Talk consists of six sessions, on the third Friday of each month, starting on 16 October. To sign up you must commit to all six sessions.
