Introduction

You should complete this form if you intend to carry out works to protected tree(s) under the Town and Country Planning Regulations 2012.

Works should only be carried out to remove the immediate risk of serious harm. If the danger presented by the tree is not immediate, then the tree does not come within the meaning of this exception within the next five days based on health and safety reasons.

What you'll need to provide:

  1. Tree location

    A map showing the location of the tree clearly labelled with the tree number and species e.g. T1 - oak.

  2. Photographs

    Photographs of the tree and any defects found. Each photo of the tree should be clearly labelled T1, T2 etc to match the plan and show the base, stem and canopy of the tree.

  3. Tree report (optional)

    If you have a report from an aboriculturalist, you will be able to upload this as part of your application.
