We have a No First Night Out approach to rough sleeping which means we work in partnership with other key services to identify anyone new to the streets and act quickly to make contact and provide support.

This means that anyone finding themselves with nowhere to sleep for one night will be offered help and support by the Housing team and should not have to spend a second night rough sleeping.

If you are a member of the public, you can help by reporting anyone you suspect might be sleeping rough.

At risk of losing your home?

We'll talk to you about your circumstances and give you advice on what housing options are available to you.

Please complete our housing advice form and a Housing officer will contact you within two working days.

Help for younger people

If you are 16 or 17 and can no longer stay in your home, please complete a housing advice form and a Housing officer will contact you, or call 01252 774239. We will talk  hrough the options available to you.

You can also contact Step by Step and Fleet Phoenix which are homeless charities for young people.

 

Financial help

Our section on Help paying your bills has information on the benefits you may be eligible for if you are struggling to afford to stay in your home.
