If you need support feeding yourself or your family, there are a number of organisations that can help

Living costs are rising and food is one of our most essential expenses. The links and information on this page could help you make ends meet.

If local foodbanks, community larders and pantries are closed, Citizens Advice Hart have emergency food parcels available.

 

 

Hart Foodbank

The foodbank provides food parcels for people struggling to put food on the table.

You must be referred by a local agency such as Citizens Advice, housing support officers, children’s centres, health visitors, social services and some local charities.

Hart Community Pantry

Working alongside Hart Foodbank, the Hart Community Pantry provides food, advice and education to help people help themselves. Choose from a wide selection of food items. 

Opening times: Monday 12.30pm - 3pm and Thursday 11am - 12.30pm

Cost: £5 membership fee at each visit (limited to one visit a week). No referral necessary

Darby Green Community Larder

A FareShare mobile larder.

Your bag will be prepared in advance and a variety of products will be offered.  A bag can consist of some of these items: pasta, rice, coffee, tea bags, tinned meats, tinned fish, tinned desserts, soups, along with fresh fruit and vegetables.

Opening times: Thursdays 1 – 2.30pm

Cost: You register as a member and pay between £2.50 and £5 (dependent on household size) for £10-15 worth of food

Hook Foodbank

The foodbank is part of Hart Foodbank, providing emergency food for local people in crisis, referred by a professional agency such as your Housing Association, Citizens Advice, JobCentre Plus, local school, GP surgery or social prescriber.

Opening times: Mondays noon - 1.30pm and Thursdays 10.30am – noon

Location: Life Church Centre, Elms Road, Hook RG27 9DX

There is also a Mobile Larder which visits the Life Church Centre on Thursdays between 10am and 11am, for which a small fee is payable, depending upon the size of your family (ID is required).

Fleet Phoenix

Offers food and hygiene parcels to those families most in need. 

Location: Point Youth Centre, Harlington Way, Fleet GU51 4BP

Odiham Foodbank

The foodbank provides emergency food and support for local people in crisis.

Opening times: Thursdays 1.30 – 3pm

Location:  All Saints Church offices, Ostlers Place, Deer Park View RG29 1JY.

Yateley Community Pantry

Membership is available to anyone who needs it.

Opening times: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10am – 2pm

Cost: Shoppers pay a £5 membership per visit and can choose food, grocery, and hygiene/cleaning items worth at least £15, although this is often much more

Zero Hunger

The Zero Hunger charity works across Hart and Farnborough providing food parcels and meals and a social network. It runs a drop-in service offering coffee, cake and lots of fresh food for you to take away:

  • Every Monday at North Camp Methodist Church, Lynchford Road 10 – 11am
  • Every Tuesday at Pegasus Court, Hartley Wintney 10 – 11am
  • Every Thursday at Elizabeth Hall, Raven Road, Hook 10 – 11am

There are no eligibility criteria – just turn up on the day (please bring your own carrier bag to take away groceries).
