A range of community groups has been awarded funding by the Council to support initiatives that improve the lives of residents and strengthen communities across the district.
The £120,000 Here for Hart Community Grants scheme has been shared with 28 organisations to fund projects that help residents stay well, promote inclusion and community connection and support people facing challenges.
Applicants could apply for grants of up to £5,000. The projects focus on young people and families, health and wellbeing, community spaces and facilities, sport and recreation, and community events.
Councillor David Neighbour, Leader of Hart District Council, said: "These grants are designed to leave a lasting legacy, supporting initiatives that will continue to benefit our communities in the future. The projects reflect the passion, creativity and dedication of our voluntary and community sector and we are proud to invest in activities that will make a meaningful and sustainable difference for residents.
“I would like to congratulate all the successful applicants and thank everyone who took the time to apply. We look forward to seeing these projects come to life and the positive impact they will have across the district in the months and years ahead."
A further £320,000 is also available through the Here for Hart Community Grants scheme for larger projects up to a maximum award of £50,000 which closes to applications on 14 September. These should have a long-term benefit to the community, continuing years after project completion.
