If you are claiming Single Person Discount on your Council Tax you may receive a letter from us asking you to confirm whether you remain the only adult living in your property and are still entitled to receive this reduction.
We review Council Tax discounts because sometimes people forget to tell us when the number of adults living at their address changes.
This could be because:
- a new partner has moved in
- a new tenant has moved in
- a child in your house has turned 18
The review ensures that everyone is paying the correct tax and detects and prevents potential fraud.
If you have received this letter, you must complete our secure online Single Person Discount review form, even if your situation has not changed.
To complete the online form, you will need your Council Tax account reference and your unique identifier number which can be found on your review letter.
