Information for voters

Voting at this referendum took place on Thursday 23 November 2023.

The polling station was located at: Winchfield Village Hall, Station Road, Winchfield, RG27 8BX

The polling station was open from 7am until 10pm.

Voter ID at polling stations

Since May 2023, all voters at a polling station must show an accepted form of photographic identification (photo ID) to be able to vote. This has been introduced under the Elections Act 2022. Anyone who does not have an accepted form of ID can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate to use at the polling station.

Register to vote

The deadline for registering to vote for this referendum was midnight on Tuesday 7 November 2023.

Postal voting

The deadline for applying for a postal vote or to change/cancel an existing postal vote was 5pm on Wednesday 8 November 2023.

Proxy voting

If you are not able to vote at your polling station, you can apply to vote by proxy which means appointing someone else to vote on your behalf. The person you appoint as your proxy must be registered and eligible to vote. Your proxy will need to bring their own photo ID to the polling station when voting on your behalf (unless they apply to vote by post on your behalf).
