Hart District Council launches consultation on Corporate Plan

Hart District Council have launched a consultation on their draft Corporate Plan for 2023-2027, inviting residents and stakeholders to comment on their priorities for the next four years.

The Council’s current Corporate Plan was adopted in 2017. Following an unprecedented last three years and increasing demand for Council services, they will now look at priorities for the next four years.

This corporate plan will shape the projects and work the Council undertakes and therefore comments are sought from as many residents and stakeholders as possible to ensure the focus reflects the priorities of everyone in Hart.

To gather these, a public consultation has been launched and is running on the Council’s website from Tuesday 1 November until 5pm, Sunday 18 December. There are four questions in total and it should take 5-10 minutes to complete.

Three focus areas have been identified in the plan for the next four years. These are:

  • Planet - a new zero carbon and climate resilient Council by 2035, and a climate resilient district by 2040.
  • People - fair treatment for all, help for those in need, and a sustainable economy that makes Hart a great place to live, work and enjoy.
  • Place - delivering warmer, better homes in sustainable locations that people can afford to live in.

Each of these focus areas have key objectives and goals identified within them and will be underpinned by providing a resilient and financially sound Hart District Council.

Councillor David Neighbour, Leader of Hart District Council, said: “Hart District Council’s Corporate Plan for 2023-2027 is a key document for shaping the future direction of the work we undertake. We know it is important for our focus areas to reflect the priorities of all residents and groups in Hart. By asking residents and groups to offer their views and comments via this consultation, we can make sure it focuses on the areas which matter most to them.”

Responses can be made via Corporate Plan Consultation Survey. Paper copies are available on request by email to communications@hart.gov.uk, telephone 07816 109683 or in person at the Civic Offices.
