Hart District Council has taken another significant step forward towards adopting the Hart Local Plan.
Proposed changes to the Local Plan are now out for public consultation following hearings held at the end of last year. The consultation will run until 5pm on 19 August 2019 and information can be found on the Council’s website www.hart.gov.uk/local-plan-proposed-modifications.
Cllr Graham Cockarill, Cabinet Member for Place at Hart District Council, said: “We are delighted that the Plan has progressed to this stage and we will finish the process as quickly as possible. We have already stopped a 700 home development west of Hook on the back of this plan.”
The Inspector will consider the consultation responses and, unless an extra hearing is needed, will write his report confirming his recommended changes. The Local Plan could be adopted by the end of the year. For more information about the Local Plan examination visit www.hart.gov.uk/local-plan-examination-2018/19.
