Cllr Gerry Crisp, Chairman of Hart District Council, has launched his ‘Heart of Hart’ campaign and announced his 7 chosen charities for his civic year.
Cllr Crisp was elected as Chairman of Hart District Council at the Council Annual General Meeting in May. Over the past couple of months he has been working with fellow Councillors to create his ‘Heart of Hart’ charity campaign.
The campaign aims to represent one charity from 7 towns and villages across the district and consists of the following:
- Aerobility from Yateley
- First responders from Fleet & Church Crookham
- Home-Start from Hawley & Blackwater
- Inclusion from Hook
- Phoenix from Fleet
- Riding for Disabled from Heckfield
- Rosefield Day Centre from Odiham
Speaking about the campaign, Cllr Crisp said: “I have chosen these charities based on them being local and their clients being of vulnerable disposition. They have formed my 'Heart of Hart' charity campaign and I look forward to raising funds for these well-deserving charities through my civic year.
The Chairman will be hosting a range of activities from dinners, raffles and a concert to raise funds, which will be equally split between all charities. If you have any ideas for an event to raise money for the Chairman's charities, please contact the Chairman's Secretary on 01252 774143.
