For a fourth year running, Hart District Council and Rushmoor Borough Council are holding a popular affordable housing event for residents.
The event will be held on Thursday 8 March from 2pm to 8pm, at Hart District Council Civic Offices in Fleet. Hart and Rushmoor have teamed up with Help to Buy South, the government's home ownership agent, to provide this event.
Residents will have the opportunity to talk to specialist staff from the councils' housing teams, Help to Buy South and representatives from social housing providers, to find out more about schemes available to help get on the housing ladder.
Speaking about the event, Cllr Stuart Bailey, Cabinet Member for Housing at Hart District Council, said "Hart are passionate about helping residents get on the housing ladder and I would encourage anyone who is thinking about taking this step to come along to the event. I am pleased we have been able to work with Rushmoor Borough Council to hold this for residents for the fourth year in a row."
Independent financial advisors will also be available to help residents find out what mortgages may be available to them and give advice on monthly payments and deposit costs.
Cllr Barbara Hurst, Rushmoor Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Health and Housing, said “Good housing lies at the very heart of health and wellbeing, making individuals feel settled and secure, and creating strong communities, so we are delighted to be working with Hart District Council again on this event. It gives residents a great opportunity to find out about the affordable homes available to them in the area.”
