Bulky and garden waste collection services are to resume across Hart district after being suspended due to the coronavirus crisis.
From Tuesday 26 May, residents will be able to book a bulky waste collection from their home. They can also order blue bins and glass recycling crates, although we anticipate a longer than usual delivery time for these items due to the coronavirus disruption.
Garden waste collections will resume for existing subscribers mid-June. The Council will be writing to all customers with full details, including their start date, a revised expiry date for their subscription to allow for the pause in service and how excess green waste will be handled.
Unfortunately, we are unable to take new garden waste sign-ups at this time but will let residents know when this service is available.
Councillor Alan Oliver, Cabinet Portfolio holder for the Environment, said: “This has been an exceptionally challenging time for the Council and we had initially to focus on maintaining our essential household waste and recycling collections.
“I am pleased to say that staffing levels have now increased after some shortages due to the coronavirus crisis. We wanted to get these valued services back up and running as soon as we could and thank residents for their co-operation during this difficult period.”
