Countryside & nature [1]

Hart District Council’s Countryside Rangers manage many of North Hampshire’s important nature reserves and wildlife areas. Three locations are award winning Green flag sites, recognising that they are some of the best green spaces in the country. It is also seen as a way of encouraging others to achieve high environmental standards, setting a benchmark of excellence in recreational green areas. There are some excellent natural habitats to visit including heathlands, woodlands, wet meadows, marshes and Hampshire’s largest freshwater lake at Fleet Pond.

Whether you are looking for somewhere to take a stroll, would like to take part in a guided walk or join a volunteer group, Hart’s open green spaces have something for you.

Hart District Council is committed to retaining trees in a safe condition. If you come across a damaged tree please visit our how do I report an issue with a tree [2] page where you can fill in an online form.
