Notice of intention to carry out demolition as required by Section 80 of the Building Act 1984
Six weeks before demolition starts, this notice must be completed and copies sent by you to the persons and bodies listed in section 3 below. The Council will then arrange for a notice with conditions to be sent to you.
You must not start demolition work until you receive the conditions from the Council or until the six weeks has expired whichever is the earlier. Any person who carries out demolition work prior to the receipt of such a notice becomes liable, on summary conviction, to a fine of up to £1,000.
Planning permission may be required under the Town and Country Planning Acts.
