Hart will join towns and cities around the country in celebrating His Majesty King Charles III being crowned alongside the Queen Consort.
The Coronation will take place at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6 May, with a series of special events planned, including the Coronation Big Lunch on Sunday 7 May and The Big Help Out on Bank Holiday Monday.

Councillor Community Grants
We have launched a councillor grant scheme to support community projects that celebrate the Coronation.
For each of the 11 District Council wards, a total of £1,000 grant funding is available. Grants can be awarded for a minimum of £100 and a maximum of £1,000 and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
The grants are offered to community groups and parish and town councils. Local groups not affiliated to an organisation can apply through their parish or town council.
The closing date for applications is when all funds have been allocated or Friday 31 March 2023.

Apply to hold a Coronation street party
To apply for a road closure for residential street parties, from Saturday 6 to Monday 8 May 2023, please complete our application from. All request should be made by 17 April 2023. There is no charge for private street parties but larger public events may be charged.

Free parking on Bank Holiday Monday
As part of the celebrations, there will be no parking charges in council-owned car parks across Hart on Monday 8 May. A list of included car parks can be found at www.hart.gov.uk/parking.
