Blackwater and Hawley

Within this parish are many hundreds of acres of common land with walks among heather, bracken and pine; trees and with suitable spots for picnics.

The Blackwater and Hawley Leisure Centre and Memorial Hall offer opportunities for a wide range of sporting and social activities.

Hawley Lake is owned by the Army but is also open to the public as a popular walking, sailing and fishing area.

Neighbourhood Plan

Hart District Council received an application from Blackwater and Hawley Parish Council for designation of the Parish as a Neighbourhood Area. As required by Regulation 6 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), a copy of the application and supporting documents were made available for comments until 19 September 2016.

On Thursday 6 October 2016 Hart District Council's Cabinet approved the designation of the Neighbourhood Area.
