Soccer Scheme is Six Hit

SOCCER at Six, the summer long football coaching scheme for Hart’s young people, was a resounding success this year.

Spread over 17 weeks (against eight last year) the scheme saw 910 tickets sold with around 55 children (aged 5-16) taking part each  week. There were also three week long courses.

Soccer at Six is a joint enterprise between the Safer Hart partnership and Aldershot Town FC supported by Hart District Council.

Coach, Kirk Wheeler commented: “I’m really pleased with our success this summer. This is down to the support we had from the local community as well as the district council.”

Richard Denham, the co-ordinator said: “This is a fantastic project that continues to go from strength to strength. I am confident that next year will be even bigger and better.”
