Local Democracy Week

Local Democracy week is a Local Government Association (LGA) initiative which began three years ago.  The aim of the week is to bring young people and politicians closer together.

2011
Local schools were invited to the civic offices for a tour and then the school councillors were provided with the opportunity to hold their school council meeting in the council chambers.
