Electoral & Registration Services
We provide the following services for you
The Electoral Services Office is responsible for compiling and maintaining the Register of Electors.
In order to vote at an election or referendum your name must be on the Register of Electors.
We organise and manage all the elections for Hart District Council.
We also run other elections within* the district on behalf of the Crown for the Hampshire North East Parliamentary Constituency and referendums when called by Parliament.
Hampshire County Council and your local Parish Council also contract us to run elections to their authorities on their behalf.
Electoral Area Reviews
Where permitted by statute we review the locations and boundaries of electoral areas and ensure that they meet the needs of all of the electorate. These include District Wards, Parish boundaries, Polling Districts and Polling Places.
We undertake a range of imaginative activities to encourage electoral participation and promote its awareness within Hart.
Complaints and Compliments
Our aim is to support the Council's democratic objectives by delivering these statutory services to the people of Hart in an efficient, effective and economic way within a culture of continuous improvement.
