When you are looking to carry out works to protected trees it is important that you use a suitably qualified and insured tree surgeon, who works to the current best practice. You can also look in places such as the Yellow Pages. Be particularly cautious of casual callers offering to carry out tree work.

Hart District council does not recommend or approve any of the tree surgeons or tree consultants on the Arboricultural Association lists. The Arboricultural Association has its own approval procedures and if you experience any problems with approved contractors then you should contact them about this.
