The saved policies document is a combination of saved policies from Hart District Local Plan (Replacement) 1996 - 2006, adopted 23rd December 2002 and the First Alterations to the Hart District Local Plan (Replacement), adopted 22nd June 2006.  As a result of the changes in the planning system introduced via the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 some of the policies in the Replacement Plan have expired and one of the policies in the First Alterations expired on 22nd June 2009.  For ease of use, the saved policies from these documents (i.e. the only policies which remain valid) are provided in the Hart District Local Plan Saved Policies document.

The Secretary of State must issue a direction in order for policies to be saved.  Hart District Council has so far received directions from the Secretary of State on two occasions, at the request of the District Council.  These had the effect of saving policies from the Hart District Local Plan (Replacement) and the First Alterations to the Hart District Local Plan (Replacement).

Purchase a Local Plan
The Saved Policies document (which includes the Secretary of State's saved policy directions as appendices) can be purchased for £63.80 without maps or for £139 with maps.

A hard copy of the Hart District Local Plan (Replacement) including the First Alterations and saved policy directions from the Secretary of State and maps can be purchased for £127.40

Maps can be purchased for £74.00

The First Alterations including saved policy directions from the Secretary of State can be purchased separately for £8.60.
