Hart District Profile

This document provides a detailed overview of the economy of Hart. It has been produced as a companion to the Hampshire Economic Assessment 2011(HEA), details of which can be found on the Hampshire County Council website. The purpose of this profile is to therefore provide the local economic detail for Hart.

The document comprises six sections, each of which focuses on an aspect of the local economy:

• Key economic flows and profiles of employed residents and workplace population
• Economic competitiveness including information on knowledge-based industries, qualifications and competition
• Employee jobs and stock of companies
• Labour market participation, deprivation and expected opulation change
• Sustainability, including energy use, commuting patterns and key infrastructure
• The rural economy
