Core Strategy
Due to Local Government elections the timetable for publication of the Core Strategy (pre-submission draft) is under review. Further information will be published as soon as possible.
Hart District Council consulted on a Core Strategy ‘Preferred Approach’and an accompanying Sustainability Appraisal Report, between Friday 29 July and Friday 7 October 2011. The council is currently considering the responses, which can be accessed through the link below:

The Core Strategy is the key document in the Local Development Framework (LDF) - the long term replacement for the current Local Plan. It will set out the spatial planning framework for the district between 2006 – 2028 including housing numbers and broad locations for development.
The Sustainability Appraisal (SA) Report aims to ensure that the principles of sustainable development are fully considered in the preparation of the core strategy.
