Environmental Information Regulations 2004

The information contained with these Registers has been complied to meet the Council’s obligations to make environmental information available without charge under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 and in a form that meets 2009 advice from the Information Commissioner’s Officer.

The published information will provide Building Regulation environmental information necessary for anyone to complete a CON29 local search question:

• A reference number - the descriptions for the types of applications which includes information that may be necessary to identify Competent Persons can be found here
• The date that an application was submitted
• The address of the Property (at the time of application)
• A description of the Proposed Work
• The status of those proposed works including information on Approvals -  the descriptions for the status of the proposed works can be found here
• The date (if any) of when any Completion Certificate was issued (i.e. Completions).
• Information on all known Contraventions of the Building Regulations can be found here

Use

The Register can also be downloaded and saved for any use, again without charge. There is also a conventional search facility within Abobe and other appropriate software which allows full searches of all information contained with each Register file.

Personal Search Facility

Having published the list of environmental building control information held by the Council, the Council will not now provide an open personal search facility as of right.  The Council will however, continue to provided a discretionary (and chargeable) search facility for anyone who as an alternative from inspecting the published register themselves, seeks to ask the Council to act on their behalf and provide the environmental information that is otherwise published in the Building Control Register.  The fee for is £37.44 (plus VAT) per property request.  Please complete the Building Control Search Form and return to buildingcontrol@hart.gov.uk.
