Cashless Telephone Parking Arrives
HART’S Deputy Leader, Cllr Stephen Parker announced at the full Council meeting last night (Thursday) that a trial of cashless telephone parking has begun in Hart’s rural car parks.
He said that if it was successful it would be introduced into all car parks next year.
Customers will still be able to use coins or smart cards in all car parks with chip and pin also available in Blackwater and Hartley Wintney.
Details of how the system works can be found on either www.mipermit.com or www.wanttopark.com
Vehicles and users can be pre-registered and accounts can be set up for either individuals or businesses.
Customers can also use car parks run by a growing number of other councils that have joined the scheme.
Cllr Parker described it as “a positive step to support our customers.”
