YATELEY VILLAGE DESIGN FRAMEWORK SUPPLEMENTARY PLANNING DOCUMENT
The Yateley Village Design Framework Supplementary Planning Document
provides a long term planning and design framework to guide the development of Yateley Village Centre. When adopted, it will form part of Hart District Council’s planning policy and will be referred to, along with other relevant policy, when planning applications are determined. It will also establish the basis for attracting funding for improvements to public areas and streets in the centre, although it does not provide any guarantees of funding or development.
The document will be an important influence on the way in which the centre of the village evolves in the future, and on the types of development that are permitted. The Framework draws on comments made at previous consultation events and sets out ideas for improving the shopping areas, reducing the dominance of traffic and strengthening the centre’s local character.
The Council is asking for comments on this document from 2 May to 13 June 2008.
The Yateley Village Design Framework Supplementary Planning Document has been jointly prepared by:
- Hart District Council
- Hampshire County Council
- Yateley Town Council
- Atkins Global (Consultants)
The document can be viewed at the Council Offices and the three libraries across the District.
There will be a stall on Yateley Green with further information about the Yateley Village Design Framework at the May Fair on Bank Holiday Monday, 5 May 2008. On Saturday 17 May there will be a stall with information about the Village Design Framework in the main shopping area in Yateley Village.
The consultation runs from Friday 2 May to Friday 13 June 2008. Members of the public are invited to fill in a questionnaire about the document.
Following this consultation the comments will be analysed, and the Village Design Framework amended if required.
