Parish Election Results

BOB Schofield, who has been chairman of the shadow council for the new Fleet Parish Council topped the poll in the election of four councillors for the Pondtail ward yesterday.

He was followed home by former district councillor Sue Fisher (LD), Sue Tilley and Dai Pierce. There were seven candidates in all.

In the election for the Blackwater ward of Blackwater and Hawley Town Council three Liberal Democrats, Keith Clarke, Celia Hennell and Graham Keene were successful.

RESULTS:  Fleet Pondtail: Elected: Bob Schofield 589,Sue Fisher (LD) 534, Sue Tilley 482, Dai Pierce 436. Not elected: Stuart Kruse (Ind) 253, Stephen Coupland 118, Christine Randall 103.

Blackwater: Elected: Keith Clarke (LD) 228, Celia Hennell (LD) 196, Graham Keene 161. Not elected: Leslie Lawrie 149.
