Hart Hosts Regional Netball Tournament

ON Tuesday November 24, Hart District Council hosted the British Colleges Sport South East Regional Netball Tournament at Elvetham Heath.

The winners of the event progressed to the British Colleges national finals at Loughborough University next April. The tournament was run over a full day and 16 teams entered including Farnborough Sixth Form.   Brockenhurst College were the eventual winners.

Their team coach and organiser of the event Louise Hall said :“The tournament was a great success. The facilities provided by Hart were excellent, and playing on good quality netball courts with appropriate floodlighting was fundamental to the tournament.

“The support throughout the day from outdoor sports staff, particularly Sam Knowles, was superb and helped the day to run smoothly. We would be very keen to use the venue in the future for other tournaments and fixtures.”
