Fleet Road parking enforcement back

HART District Council is to resume enforcement of the traffic restrictions in Fleet Road, Fleet from Monday December 8.

“From this date anyone parking in contravention of the restrictions will be liable to receive a penalty charge notice,” said Hart’s parking manager Geoff Hislop.

Recently Hart has been issuing warning notices to offenders –prior to the enforcement.

Monday to Friday restrictions mean that only goods vehicles can use the bays for loading and unloading between 9 am and 3pm.

Between 3pm and 6pm there is a 30 minute restriction with no return within one hour. There are no restrictions after 6pm.

On Saturdays and Sundays 30 minutes parking is allowed between 9am and 6pm with no return within one hour.

Temporary signs are being erected in Fleet Road reminding motorists of the need to comply with the restrictions.

Motorists paying short visits to Fleet are reminded that there are free 30 minute red bay spaces in the council’s town centre car parks.
